What is AnotherBall?

AnotherBall is a Singapore-based Web3 entertainment startup founded in May 2022. The company focuses on the intersection of virtual reality, AI, and blockchain technology to create a sustainable digital creator ecosystem. Its primary initiative is the IZUMO project, a virtual entertainment platform designed to empower VTubers (Virtual YouTubers), illustrators, and musicians to connect with global audiences and monetize their content through innovative digital assets.

How Does AnotherBall Work?

AnotherBall operates by building a comprehensive platform for the 'avatar economy.' The core of its technology involves the IZUMO ecosystem, which provides free-to-use avatar assets like 'Ailis' to creators. By leveraging blockchain, the project ensures digital ownership and creator royalties, while also integrating AI-driven tools to assist in character animation and content creation. This allows creators to build and scale their virtual identities without the traditional barriers of high production costs.

What Makes AnotherBall Unique?

What sets AnotherBall apart is its 'open character' philosophy. Unlike traditional agencies that own creator IPs, AnotherBall released its flagship character assets (Ailis) for free commercial and non-commercial use, encouraging a community-driven expansion of the IP. Additionally, the project is backed by a 'dream team' of industry veterans from Sony, Twitch, and Polygon, blending deep entertainment expertise with cutting-edge Web3 infrastructure to foster a new era of digital interaction.

Who Are the Founders of AnotherBall?

AnotherBall was founded by Shunsuke Oyu (known as 'Captain') and Tatsuro Shimada ('Ramen'). Both are serial entrepreneurs with a track record of success in the Japanese startup scene; they previously founded 'Mamari,' a leading family information site, and the 'PRISM Project,' a multinational VTuber agency. Their combined expertise in community building and virtual entertainment serves as the strategic foundation for AnotherBall's mission to liberate human potential through avatars.
